Extra-Curricular Clubs


Art teachers run after school Period 7 clubs (2.30pm – 3.30pm) with a variety of years on a Monday, Thursday and Friday. Please contact Mrs Walker for further details.

Computer Studies

“Computer Studies Drop In” runs on Period 7 (2.30pm – 3.30pm) Thursday in IT2. Students can come and use the computers in a focused, supervised environment to complete coursework, revise or complete any homework that they have, not only for Computer Studies but for all subjects across the school.  Over the year, Computer Studies and programming clubs will be available for students to come along and practice their programming skills in a fun and entertaining way.  Please contact Mr Dickinson for further details.


Drama club takes place every Monday Period 7 (2.30pm – 3.30pm) in the Drama Studio. Please contact Miss Blackburn for further details.


English clubs include GCSE support, SPaG and creative writing according to need and desire.  Please contact Mr Rowley for further details.

Film – Media

Film club runs on Monday Period 7 (2.30pm – 4.00pm) for year groups 9, 10 & 11. Please contact Mrs L Blackburn for further details.


GCSE French Revision Club/KS3 French Club – Tuesday Period 7 (2.30pm – 3.30pm). Please contact Mrs Teasdale for further details.

Food Technology

A food workshop open to all year groups.  Students have access to computers and support from technology teachers. It runs in DT7 every Wednesday from 2.30pm-3-30pm (Period7).  Please contact Mrs Ainsley for further details.


Geography intervention and extra support and assistance at both Key Stage 3 and 4 will run Period 7 (2.30pm – 3.30pm). Please contact Mrs Garvey for further details.


Maths will be running Intervention sessions for all year groups during Period 7 (2.30pm – 3.30pm) as needed alongside GCSE intervention as well as a regular ‘drop-in’ session for Year 11 students to get help with their studies.  Please contact Miss Leng for further details.

Below is a timetable for the extra curricular PE activities currently being run at Brayton Academy. All activities will run during period 7 (2:30pm – 3:30pm). Students must bring a full Brayton Academy PE kit.

Gardening club runs on a Wednesday and allows the students to grow their own food and flowers.  Please contact Mrs Staniforth for further details.
