The Governing body of Brayton Academy aims to promote high standards of educational achievement.
In all our deliberations the Governing body will:
- Have the quality of student’s learning at the heart of all our business.
- Be united around a common vision shared with the Headteacher and staff, and expressed in the school development plan.
- Have clear and achievable goals.
To underpin the above objectives the Governing body will, in conducting all of its business, act as a corporate body, with integrity, objectivity and honesty and in the best interests of the Academy. We will be open about, and be prepared to explain, our decisions and actions, subject to issues that we consider being confidential. The Governing body will adopt an agreed “Code of Conduct for School Governors” and all Governors will be expected to adhere to the principles outlined in this Code of Conduct.
